Input modes and color matching
Live USB HID reads individual slider and air sensors in the controller’s HID mode. Configuration pauses those reports, so starting a live test ends configuration. Keyboard mode matches the chosen preset’s characters and cannot distinguish sensors sharing a binding.
The highlights use the seven-color palette in the supplied V5.14 English firmware, sampled at the slider’s column LEDs. Actual controller brightness and animated lighting can differ. Air highlights use the same palette. Serial input has not been confirmed for this firmware; use HID or keyboard mode here.

Key bindings
Grouped keys share one binding across adjacent sensors. Selecting a layout keeps existing bindings; edit a group to assign them together.
Set the character sent by each of the six air keys. Use the Air height section to adjust the height presets.
One ASCII character per key. Empty disables a binding; uppercase becomes lowercase.
All 20 digits are preserved, including leading zeros. Choose the active card on the controller in HID mode.
Set the starting height and distance between air levels. Values are in millimetres. Choose which of presets A–C is active using the controller’s menu.
Connect to load the current height and spacing.
Editor limits: initial height 0–1000 mm, spacing 1–100 mm, and initial height + 8 × spacing ≤ 1000 mm. These are editor guardrails, not the sensor’s rated range. Values read from the controller are shown as stored.

Each switch writes to controller memory and verifies its status. Save to flash below to keep the change.

How to use
- 01Open on your controller’s computer
Use desktop Chrome or Edge with the controller plugged into that same computer.
- 02Everything loads on connection
All presets and controller status load automatically. Choose a section and preset to start editing.
- 03Write, verify, then save
Every write is read back and compared. Save to flash once verification succeeds, then disconnect.
Session activity
One numeric field only. See the controller’s About screen for the full version and language.

Reports contain connection details and results, without bindings, card numbers, or banner text.
Settings on the controller’s menu
Use the controller’s menu for lighting, touch threshold, sensitivity, communication/game mode, and active preset selection. Air-height presets and slider/air enable switches can be edited here. Use Refresh status after changing input switches on the controller.
Updating firmware
Firmware updates use the controller’s USB drive mode, separately from configuration. Disconnect here, unplug USB, then hold the upper-right button while reconnecting. An RPI-RP2 drive should appear. Copy the correct UF2 firmware file for your controller to that drive; it restarts when finished.
This configurator does not flash firmware or select a firmware version for you.
Previewing from another device on your network?
You can explore the demo over a normal LAN address. USB access needs a trusted HTTPS address, such as a Cloudflare Pages deployment. The controller must be plugged into the computer opening this page.
Alternatively, forward this server to localhost using SSH. Setup steps are in the project README.
